Unconstant Motion nait début 2014 de la rencontre du batteur Ludovic Moro (JPL, WolfSpring) et du guitariste Simon Moulin (Aesmah) dans le but de développer un projet instrumental aux inspirations progressives.
Pour cela, ils s’entourent de Rémy Robinot (Toter Fisch) à la guitare, Raphaël Steyaert à la basse et Nicolas Pourré aux claviers.

Guidés par leurs influences respectives, le groupe mêle les styles, les sons et les instruments pour créer un metal progressif singulier et emmener l’auditeur dans un univers onirique et cinématographique. Leur musique est ponctuée par l’utilisation de samples de voix parlées. C’est pourquoi en 2017 le line-up évolue en intégrant Joseph Ruiz (Ephemeral) comme parolier afin d’enrichir les samples par l’interprétation de textes originaux et d’extraits de la littérature.

Après 3 ans d’existence, alors qu'il terminait la composition de son futur premier album, le groupe est bouleversé par le décès de Ludovic. Malgré tout, ils décident de l'enregistrer afin de lui rendre hommage.

Cet album « Solstice » est par la force des choses devenu un projet collectif allant au-delà des membres du groupe et ayant rassemblé leurs proches, musiciens ou non, souhaitant honorer à leur manière la mémoire de Ludo.

Il en ressort un album aux ambiances contrastées, aux lignes de guitares lumineuses soutenues par des claviers intenses et riches. Les textes poétiques, sombres et parfois tourmentés, accompagnent l’ensemble en un constat amer de l’humanité.

Unconstant Motion was formed in 2014 when drummer Ludovic Moro (JPL, WolfSpring) and Simon Moulin (Aesmah) decided to create a progressive-rock inspired instrumental project. For this project, they surrounded themselves with Rémy Robinot (Toter Fisch) on guitar, Raphaël Steyaert on bass and Nicolas Pourré on keyboards.

Guided by their own influences, the band mixes music styles, sounds and instruments to create a singular progressive metal and take the listener to a cinematographic dreamlike universe. Their music is punctuated by samples of spoken voices. This is why in 2017 they hired Joseph Ruiz (Ephemeral) as writer and actor to enrich the music by interpretation of original texts and excerpt from literature.

After three years, while they were ending the composition of their first album, the death of Ludovic moved the band deeply. Despite that, they decided to record it in order to pay homage to him.

Due to the circumstances, this album “Solstice” turned into a collective project. It gathered, beyond the group members, relatives, friends, who wanted to pay tribute to him in their own way.

As a result, the album is full of contrasted atmospheres with bright guitar lines supported by deep and rich keyboards. The dark and sometimes tormented poems give to the songs a bitter feeling concerning humanity.
